Jonathan Bree returns with ‘Live to Dance,’ the brooding new single featuring longtime co‑conspirator Princess Chelsea. The dark atmosphere builds across the track, delivering the type of bittersweet melodies that Bree is known for and which linger in your mind.
The accompanying video is equally mesmerizing, structured as a movie within a movie. It pays homage to Duran Duran’s classic video for ‘The Chauffeur’ — one of Bree’s favorites. Jonathan and Chelsea sit alone in a near‑empty cinema, strangers in the dark - watching a steamy 1960’s noir film.
Fittingly, the video was a collaboration with Marc Swadel (director) and Balázs Weidner (DOP), who were the cinematographer and cameraman (respectively) on Duran Duran's ‘Anniversary’ music video. Swadel has also worked with other high profile acts including Chemical Brothers (on their live film, Don’t Think), Sparks, and Crowded House.
